This second volume in a set of two focuses on many of the men who served in the Missouri Rangers prior to and during the War of 1812. Volume two provides biographical sketches and additional information about individual Missouri Rangers, and, often, their families. There is a section at the end that includes some rare early maps of the Missouri Territory as well as maps of the counties along the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers mentioned in both volumes. An extensive bibliography and an index complete this book.
