This is one of a series of four-page laminated genealogy aids called "Genealogy at a Glance." They are meant to be transported or to sit by your computer as you work, giving you access to the latest information in specific areas of research. Each booklet in the series is formatted the same way with variations where relevant. After a discussion of Polish names, Polish history, and emigration, the author goes on to present information on how to find your ancestral home town and use maps. She talks about Polish databases and other important resources. She includes a page of place names in English, Latin, Polish, and German that could be very helpful in locating your villages. The first page has a short table of contents and a colorful box of "Quick Facts." Major sections include "Polish Names," "Polish History and Emigration," "Finding the Hometown," "Maps," "Online Databases from Poland," and "Other Resources." As with the other booklets in this series, there is a lot of information included in the four pages, but it is attractively laid out and easy to read.
