Guide to DNA Testing and Genetic Genealogy

Although DNA testing is becoming more affordable and prevalent, it can still be quite confusing to understand the results and what they mean to family research. This book attempts to make it easier for you to proceed with your own study of DNA. There are three sections: “Getting Started,” “Selecting a Test,” and “Analyzing and Applying Test Results.” Each section has multiple chapters ranging from “Genetic Genealogy Basics” to “The Future of Genetic Genealogy.” Copious charts are interspersed throughout the book, which also includes a glossary, three appendices, and an index.
